Visiting Specialists
CI Health’s primary care physicians and family nurse practitioner provide the island community with a solid foundation of care. When specialty care is needed however, a trip to the mainland is not always necessary, thanks to the visiting specialist providers who regularly provide services at CI Health.
Visiting specialists regularly see patients at Catalina Island Health, typically on Saturdays in the medical group office and are often also available for virtual appointments. Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Podiatry, and Vascular Medicine are just some of the medical specialties available.
Appointments must be scheduled directly with each visiting specialist’s office.

Dr. Hajhosseini is the Founder, President and CEO of Wound and Burn Centers of America, nation’s leading provider of advanced wound healing services. He has completed his medical training at some of the top academic institutions in the country including spending 6 years at Stanford University. He is the first board-certified wound healing specialist in the nation with fellowship trainings in both “Complex Wounds”, as well as “Burn Injuries”.
Dr. Hajhosseini offers care for:
- Complex wounds: diabetic wounds, venous wounds, arterial wounds, pressure injuries, etc.
- Burn injuries
- Acute wounds: surgical wounds, traumatic wounds
- Scar treatment
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (only available at our main office at Cedars-Sinai Medical Office Towers)
Tim Hennings began his career as an optician in 1989. After working in some of the top ophthalmology and optometry offices and optical shops in Orange County, opened his mobile optical business, Sight on Wheels, in 2017. In 2023, he started bringing mobile vision screenings to Catalina. Using a new mobile screening device, Tim tests vision and measures for eyeglasses, then sends the information to a telehealth doctor to write or renew patient prescriptions. Patients can then choose from the large assortment of glasses he brings to the island. Glasses are typically ready within two weeks.
Dr. Jacob Jensen is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and has a special interest in limb salvage, amputation prevention, as well as flatfoot reconstruction. After obtaining his degree in Podiatric Medicine from Midwestern University, he came to California to complete his surgical residency training at facilities throughout LA, San Bernardino, and Orange counties including Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. He treats conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, ingrown nails, painful lesions, and other foot related problems.

Dr. Larson has advanced training in the treatment of a wide array of upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders. He is adept at using microsurgical, arthroscopic, and open techniques in the treatment of both chronic and acute conditions. He attended medical school at Saint Louis University followed by residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Virginia. Following residency, he completed a comprehensive Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at UCSF where he excelled in treating complex surgical and non-operative pathology involving the elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand. His goal is to improve the lives of his patients by providing them with great care and returning them back to work and play.
Dr. Mady completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Vascular Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Vascular Medicine. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. More Information
Dr. Michael Moran, MD is an Interventional Cardiology Specialist in Laguna Niguel, California and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area. He received his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and has over 35 years of experience in the medical field. More Information
Dr. Jonathan Perley received his Urology training at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. With over 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Perley is well known throughout Southern California for his expertise, skill and compassion. More Information

Dr. Younger is Board-certified and Fellowship trained. His fellowship training in Cornea, Lasik and Refractive Surgery at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, allows him to offer the most advanced Refractive Cataract Surgery to patients. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Younger is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is President of the Orange County Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Jenny Wang is the founder of SoCal Skin and Surgery and a highly regarded board-certified dermatologist, specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with General Honors in Biology and earned her MD with Distinction in Research from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at UC Davis in Sacramento, CA and held research fellowships there and at Cornell. She is also a dedicated member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
