CI Health is following the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines on discontinuing home isolation for confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients.

CDC GUIDELINES:

People with COVID-19 or suspected COVID-19 who have stayed home (home isolated) can stop home isolation under the following conditions:

  • You have had no fever for at least 3 consecutive days (at least 72 hours of no fever without the use of medicine that reduces fevers) AND
  • Other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved) AND
  • At least 10 days have passed since your symptoms first appeared OR you have received two negative tests in a row, 24 hours apart. Your doctor will follow the CDC guidelines on testing.

CI Health would also suggest:

  • If you have confirmed or suspected COVID-19 and are in need of home oxygen, please obtain clearance from your medical provider prior to reentry into the community.
  • If you have had confirmed or suspected COVID-19, we recommend staying at home as much as possible to limit contact with the community.
